Sports Committee

About the Committee

A Sports Committee is an organized hierarchal formation that exists to promote and develop an interest in a particular sport or physical activity for the students. The coordinator of the committee serves primarily as an advisor and resource person for Sport Committee members and is available to assist representatives with committee business. The Committee will allow as much freedom to operate as possible, provided they operate within the regulations and guidelines herein.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

To promote sport and fitness.

• To raise awareness of sporting, leisure facilities and achievements.
• To promote participation in sports among students and staff.
• To organize various kinds of sports activities.
• To enhance student’s sportsmanship and commitment.
• To develop students in sports and discover their hidden talents.
• To assess existing clubs and facilities

Functions

• To conduct brainstorming for the issue to be resolved or decided with active participation by the sports committee members.
• To finalize the selected list for sports at the college before forwarding it to the Principal for approval.
• To monitor the physical education and sports activities at the college.
• To verify any sign circular/notice or any relevant document before forwarding it to the principal for approval.
• To keep track of stock and all sports facilities at the college.
• To the help of sports committee members plans and executes the development of proper sports facilities at the campus.
• To conduct a debate on the evolving annual budget, and finalize the same before forwarding it for approval to the principal.
• To with the help of sports committee members shall generate the annual report for every academic year comprising of activities conducted, achievements made, statistics of participation and conduction of various events, expenditure incurred, etc.,
