RTI Stands for Right to Information... it is a Fundamental Right of Indian citizens to seek information from govt. of India or, any other organization substantially aided by the, Govt of India or any other State govt.
The basic object of the Right to Information Act is to empower the citizens, Promote transparency and accountability in the Working of the Government, Contain corruption, and make over democracy work for the people in real since It goes without saying that an inform 2 ed citizen is better equipped to keep necessary.
The RTI Act, 2005 empowers the Citizen to question the Secrecy and abuse of power practised in governance. It is through the Information Commissions at the central and State levels that access to such information is provided.
