Co- Curricular Committee

About Co-Curricular Committee

Students engage in co-scholastic activities to improve their intellectual, social, and character skills as well as their personalities. Co-scholastic activities are those that are done in addition to academic study; these are typically extracurricular pursuits that take place outside of regular classroom settings. Co-scholastic activities support learning by doing and enhance the academic program. Through these exercises, students can hone their investigative, critical, creative, problem-solving, reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills. Co-curricular activities support the emotional, social, and general development of the personality. Co-scholastic activities are crucial to children' entire personality development.

Aims & Objectives

  • Enhanced academic performance; exploration of interests and forming of broader perspectives; increased self-esteem; social opportunities; productive breaks; acquisition of critical life skills; resumes; and university applications.

Function of the Committee

  • Mock trials, pre-college programs, study abroad opportunities, debate, quiz bowls, and model UNs are a few examples. These pursuits show that you are interested in continuing your education and that you are dedicated to continual learning outside of the classroom. Academic activities on applications are highly valued by colleges.
  • These involve volunteering or performing community service with nearby groups. Food banks, family shelters, Room in the Inn, and Habitat for Humanity are a few examples of potential organizations. These are activities that colleges value because they demonstrate your concern for others and your potential to improve the campus community.
  • Colleges are more likely to be impressed by your personality activities than by your application, test results, and GPA. They give you a distinct personality that stands out on paper. Scouting and athletics are two examples.
